Capturing special moments at home: a newborn photoshoot with Molly, Ben, and their kids

As a newborn photographer in Singapore, I get to capture moments that families will treasure forever. I recently had the pleasure of doing a lifestyle newborn session with Molly, Ben, and their cute kids, Penny and Charlie. This wasn’t just any photoshoot; it was Charlie's first time joining in the family photos, which made the day even more special.

We did the shoot right in their home, which helped everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is super important, especially when you have little ones like Penny running around! She brought so much fun and energy to the shoot, which really showed in the photos.

I love using black and white photos for my newborn sessions because they just feel timeless. For Molly and Ben’s shoot, this style really helped capture the sweet moments and the close bonds within the family without any distractions.

My approach is always laid-back and fun. It’s all about catching those natural, candid moments of the family, making sure everyone is having a good time. Capturing a soft smile, a gentle hug, or a big laugh is what I look for, because those are the memories you’ll love looking back on.

Today, I’m putting the finishing touches on these photos for Molly and Ben. I can’t wait to show them the final pictures and share some of the great shots on my blog soon. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a newborn photographer—it’s about more than just taking pictures; it’s about capturing memories that last a lifetime.

If you’re in Singapore and thinking about a newborn photoshoot, consider doing it at your home. It’s relaxed, personal, and a perfect place to capture your life’s special moments. If you want to book a session or just chat more about my style of newborn photography, drop me a line. Let’s capture these early days with your little one together.

This was just a sneak peek (it´seems I have a lot of those lately, trying to keep things a float during the busy season, will share full newborn session in a few weeks:)
All the best,
Gunilla
